Sandra L. Vanden Busch, 81, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at her lake house in Crivitz, WI. She was born April 27, 1941, at her grandparent's farmhouse in Lena, WI to Stanley and Doris (Netzer) Garrigan.
Sandra graduated in the top ten of her class from West High School, Class of '59. She married Gary Vanden Busch on November 12, 1960. They shared 67 incredible years together, and 61 married. Sandra worked as a carhop at Platten's Root Beer Stand and Prange's lunch counter in her teen years. She also sold for Avon and drove school buses at Laidlaw for over 40 years, where she made many friends along the way. Sandra loved to tend to her garden and was a talented seamstress. She even made 11 bridesmaid's dresses for her son's wedding in a week's time. Sandra enjoyed summer road trips with her grandkids traveling throughout the U.S. She liked to snowmobile and spent many New Year's with friends doing so. During the winters, her and Gary would retreat to their home in Cozumel, Mexico where family and friends were always welcome to visit. Family was very important to her, and she was involved in documenting her family genealogy. Sandra enjoyed trying different recipes and was a great cook.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Chris (Annette) Vanden Busch; grandchildren, Alicia, Kyle; niece, Heather (Josh) Walter; sister-in-law, Karen Kapp; nieces, Lisa (Kevin) Schaut; nephew, Michael (special friend, Wendy) Kapp; sister-in-law, Sandra (Steven) Hassell; nieces, Tina (Darren) Lutz, Shawna Mocco; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Vanessa; parents, Stanley and Doris; mother and stepfather-in-law, Margaret (Clarence) Schmitt; father-in-law, Norbert Vanden Busch; brothers-in-law, John Kapp, James R. Klemm; niece-in-law, Paula Jo Mocco.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 17; Funeral Service to follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
