Roger L. Boettcher, 85, Mountain, Wisconsin, formerly of Green Bay, joined his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Boettcher in Heaven on Saturday, February 6, 2021. The son of the late Elvin and Bernice (Streu) Boettcher was born on November 15, 1935 in Kewaunee.
In 1956, Roger married the love of his life, Patricia Ann DeMille. Together they shared 63 incredible years. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Upon his return he worked for a time at Fort Howard Paper Company. Roger then went on to start his own furniture upholstery business, which he owned and operated from 1974 until his retirement. Roger served on the Hobart Volunteer Fire Department and was a Town Supervisor for 10 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida.
Survivors include his children; Steve Boettcher (Stephan Hahn), Phoenix, AZ, Michael Boettcher (fiancé Cathy Dionne), Pulaski, Lisa (Ken) Everson, Oneida; special cousin, Kris (Ranny) Husby-Nelson (nee Boettcher), Bailey's Harbor; five grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Lefstad, Meghan (Jeff) Rodgers, Ben (Tessa Mech) Boettcher, Kelsey (Casey) LeMay, Keegan (Sadie) Everson; ten great-grandchildren (with one on the way!); brother, Gary Boettcher, Lake City, FL; brother-in-law, Edwin Basinski; sisters-in-law, Sandy DeMille and Nancy DeMille; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann; a son, Jon Boettcher; granddaughter, Katy Boettcher; his parents, Elvin and Bernice (Streu) Boettcher; stepmother, Evelyn Boettcher; parents-in-law, Richard (Ione) DeMille; brothers-in-law, Jack DeMille and Russell DeMille; sisters-in-law, Charlene Basinski and Sue Boettcher; and nephews, Scot Boettcher and EJ Basinski.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Thursday, February 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., with Deacon Everett Doxtator officiating. With concerns for the coronavirus, masks are required and must be worn properly completely covering the nose and mouth; and social distancing be respected. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com, or cards may be sent to Blaney Funeral Home to the attention of Roger Boettcher's family and they will be forwarded. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
