Kurt Nagel, much loved husband, father, brother and friend passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2022.

Kurt is remembered by many people for his giving nature, his quick wit and sense of humor. He coached his children in sports and as they grew older, he was their biggest cheerleader. Kurt also loved talking about history, politics and numerous other topics with his kids while driving or sitting around the dinner table. He was knowledgeable on many subjects and loved researching topics that he and the kids discussed. When asked what his hobby was, he replied, "my kids." He and Jen shared that hobby with a passion. Another passion he shared with Jen was a love of travel. Vacations took them to Italy, Costa Rica, Ireland and numerous states.

We all have our own special story or memory of Kurt. He touched all of us in different but special ways. Kurt loved hunting with his brothers. He rarely hit anything he shot at, but the camaraderie they shared brought him extreme joy. According to his father-in-law, Kurt's skill with firearms was about the same as his skill with any tool. It is a good thing Kurt would light up any room when he walked in, because he could not tell the difference between a screwdriver and a butterknife.

Because of his fun-loving personality, most of us never realized that Kurt faced a life-long struggle with depression. Instead of sharing his difficulties, Kurt showed a contagious zest for life. He loved working in sales as it allowed him to continuously meet new people. Kurt was passionate about making and facilitating connections with others in his community and invested much of his time coaching and mentoring youth sports. He especially enjoyed giving the kids he worked with unique nicknames.

Kurt was born on July 11, 1970, in Dodgeville, WI to Richard and Delores Nagel. He grew up in Cobb, WI and attended Iowa Grant High School. He then pursued higher education at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. His education allowed him to build a fulfilling career in sales.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Jenifer; his children, Alec, Emma, Evan and Ava; siblings, Brian [Susan] Nagel, Kevin [Cheryl] Nagel, Todd Nagel, Darin [Sherry] Nagel, and Wendy [Scott] Sievert; parents-in-law, Dennis and Mary Kay Hein; siblings-in-law, Shannon Hein [partner Jason Konz], Josh [Julie] Hein, Justin Hein [fiancé Ashley Behnke], and Emily Hein; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many people he loved. Kurt was welcomed into heaven by his parents Delores and Richard Nagel; grandparents, Elsie Yerke, Melvin and Amy Nagel, Lyle Hein, Robert and Laura Keuler, and his nephew, Mike Nagel.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 with visitation from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM and memorial service beginning at 12:00 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 County Road U, Green Bay, WI 54313.
