Jeffrey J. Parkinson, 52, passed away on August 16, 2021. The son of the Brian Sommers and Beverly Jean Hansford was born on June 13, 1969.

Jeff attended ITT Technical Institute to get his GED and his Associates Degree in computer science.

He liked going for long bike rides, camping, taking road trips, hiking, building things out of Legos, and jamming out to his rock-n-roll/metal music. Jeff had a huge passion for lighthouses and collected  them. He also had a passion for cars which led to another collection, building cars from car kits, and attending many car shows. Jeff loved to be tinkering with just about anything by taking things apart and putting them back together.

Jeff was adventurous and had a sense of humor; but above that he was outgoing, being Mr. Handyman/fix-it guy for everyone. He will be remembered by friends he made back in grade school, or while he was a tech/lighting helper years ago at Heartland Church, or when he worked at a couple gas stations.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Nicole Parkinson; granddaughter, Saphira Hesse; his mother, Beverly Jean Hansford; brother, Scott Parkinson; sisters, Jody Parkinson and Laura Parkinson; for ex-wife, Elizabeth Wendricks; and ex-wife, Laurie Parkinson.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Brian Sommers; grandparents, Joseph and Fern LaPlante; and stepfather, Ronald Hansford.
