Gloria (Babcock) Cornell, 82, Green Bay, was called home by her Creator May 7, 2014, to join her husband. She was born November 6, 1931, in Montville, CT to William Babcock and Lorene (Favro) Babcock-Harris and stepfather, Roy E. Harris.

Gloria married Robert W. Cornell on April 22, 1950. Together they had seven children and they had celebrated 46 years of happy marriage when he died in 1996. She will be remembered by friends and customers for her seamstress skills, creative craft work, handpicked vegetables, and great kindness to those she served at craft shows and farmers markets until she retired in 2009.

Gloria is survived by six children, Cheryl (Chuck) Kehl, Plover; Bob (Deborah) Cornell, Rathdrum, ID; Lynn Tilot (John), Beecher; Sue Bach, Green Bay; Lori Ripkoski, Green Bay; Mike (Cheri) Cornell, Port Washington; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Garagliano, Groton, CT; five sisters-in-law, Betty Sheedy, Joyce Janus, Audrey (Myron) Laskowski, Marianne Cornell and Lois Babcock.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her parents; one daughter, Ellen Cornell; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Babcock.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
