Glenn Duda, 59, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born on June 23, 1962, in Green Bay to Jacob and Vincean (Pellegrino) Duda and grew up on his family farm in Goodman, WI.
Glenn moved back to Green Bay in 1980 where he met his life partner and soulmate, Jamie Hyde and they were married on June 13, 1981 and started a family.
Despite his muscular dystrophy, Glenn stayed busy working a job for 1 ½ years until he was unable to anymore, due to muscle weakness. He managed to go to school half-time and received his Associate degree in Business Credit Management. His muscle weakness got worse making seeking a job in that field difficult, so he began volunteering at such places as Illiteracy Council, Social Services, Elderly Financial Assistance, Bellin Hospital, the Volunteer Center, and American Lung Association. Glenn attributes his determination to be productive from the examples of his siblings and in-laws because of their hard work and successes. He was proud and encouraged by them.
Glenn managed all aspects of his cares with the help of his dedicated family. He recruited, hired, trained, fired and scheduled his workers since 1998.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Jamie; his children, Justin Duda ( fiancée, Maria Smith) and Casey Duda; grandchildren, Jasmine, Leah, Jaylee, and Jayden; great-grandchild, Mateo; siblings, Jack Duda of Goodman, Peg (Tim) Hawley of Appleton, Chuck (Roxie) Duda of Peshtigo, Frank Duda of Lena; sister-in-law, Sara Duda; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Joseph Duda.
