Loving husband, father, and great friend, Gerard Timmerman left this world suddenly on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the age of 58.
He was born to Karen (Peppin) and Jim Timmerman in Milwaukee, WI. While attending MSOE Gerard met his partner for life, Laurie. After graduating from MSOE in 1985 they married and set off to find their own dream in this world. That dream led them to the Green Bay community for over 33 years. Together they had three loving children: Sam, Ben, and Sydney.
Gerard loved spending his time with family, friends, and anyone who wanted to have a good time. He had a talent for finding a reason to celebrate every day and did so with all his heart. He was a man of many hobbies and passions that he shared with the world, including family adventures and barrel aged craft brews. The simplest things brought great joy to Gerard's life. He had a strong passion for the family cabin, which was built by Gerard and Laurie, along with family and friends. Gerard lived each day to the fullest.
His greatest pride in life was his overwhelming love for his family; most of all his wife, Laurie and three children. Gerard put family above all else in his life and was so very proud of being a husband and father. He was an amazing husband for 32 years to Laurie. He adored all his children Sam, Ben, and Sydney. They were Gerard's most cherished parts of life.
Gerard showed his love of others through his acts of service to family, friends, and the community that he called home. His way of seeing the positive in all things and people, as well as his genuine happiness for others will be greatly missed by the world.
Survived by his wife, Laurie Riedy Timmerman; children, Sam, Ben (Brittney Heffern), and Sydney (Adam Guldan); his mother, Karen Timmerman; sister, Lisa DiGiaccomo; brother-in-law, Gerard Riedy (Suzanne Lesage); sisters-in-law, Trisha Riedy, Ann Runnells (Tom), and Linda Gross (Bob). He was a wonderful uncle to Connor, Jacob, Noah, Daniel, Xavier, Nicole, and Darren; and great uncle to Giovanni, Isabella, Oliver, and Ryder.
Gerard was preceded in death by his father, Jim Timmerman.
Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, August 19; followed by a Prayer Service at 5 p.m. To send online condolence, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
