Fabian Rentmeester, 92, Green Bay, died peacefully, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 while surrounded by his family. He was born November 10, 1928 to Peter and Kathryn (Heyrman) Rentmeester. On August 23, 1947, Fabian united in marriage to (Enola) Nola Verheyen at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. They were married for 71 years. Nola preceded him in death on May 15, 2018.

He was employed for 10 years by Charmin Paper Company and moved into the construction profession in 1957 through 1982. During that time, the family lived in Sarasota, Florida where he  worked for five years as a building supervisor on projects. Fabian returned to Green Bay and was employed for 25 years by Stock Lumber as a sales representative until his retirement in 1999. He was instrumental in building the Brown County Sportsman Clubhouse and enjoyed participating in many activities including shooting skeet.

Fabian liked to hunt in Montana and Colorado, and to fish in Canada. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge 259 in Green Bay for over 40 years and later in life was a trustee. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends and picking blueberries at the cottage in Crivitz, Wisconsin. Fabian was an avid Packer fan for over 60 years, held season tickets, and worked at stadium concession booths to support Elks' Club fundraising. He was a member of St. John the Baptist parish.

He was survived by his four children, Earl (Mary), Phyllis Moore, Linda, and Ron (Sue); 13 grandchildren, Todd (Jeanne), Renee (Tyler) Davis, Kerri, Jeremy (Tara); Ryan (Danielle Diliberto) and Jonathan Moore, Lindsey (Jarod) Petrie; Jay, Julie, and Eric (Karen) Hancock; Matt (Autumn), Casey, Mandy Markusen; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by Bernard (Elaine) Verheyen, Darrel (Margene) Verheyen, Eileen Sigl, and Mary Kunesh; in-laws including Betty, Mary, Delores Verheyen, and Jim Devroy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola on May 15, 2018; his brothers and their wives, Clem (Jean), Francis (Betty), Marvin (Myrtle) and Ralph (Theresa) Rentmeester, and William (who passed away as a baby); and Enola's family including Evelyn (Bud) Guerts, Florence Lhost Gardipee (Will Lhost) (Carl Gardipee), Elmer (Pat), Alvin (Elaine), Joe Kunesh, Harold (Lillian), John Jr., Cliff (Joanne), Juleen (Bernard) Scray, Judy Devroy, Lloyd Sigl, Delores, Cletus, Raymond, Clayton, and Cyril Verheyen.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2579 Glendale Ave., from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 11; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. with Rev.
