Mr. Michael J. Kissel, 65, Green Bay, died at his home Saturday, July 29, 2006, surrounded by his family. Mike's courageous battle with cancer was fought with the utmost grace and dignity. He was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Hartford, Wis., and graduated from Premontre High School in 1959. He had been employed as an accountant at Neville, Inc. for many years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and treasured time spent with his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Bonnie, their children and spouses, Julie Ann (Kevin) Thyes, Mary Pat Delvaux, Chad (Krystal) Metoxen, Candice (Jason) LaLuzerne; his mother, Betty Miron; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim Kissel, Jack (Leslie) Miron, Joe Miron; a sister and brother-in-law, Molly (Mike) Marty; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Burnetta "Ginger" Klarkowski; grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.


Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Friends may also call at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 211 N. Maple St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Msgr. Brian Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

Mike's family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Volk and all the wonderful staff members at St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice, especially Sharon and Julie, for the loving care and compassion given to Mike and his family.
