Joan A. Schuster, 78, Oneida, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She was born January 26, 1934, in Manitowoc to Daniel Peters and Mary Powless.

Joan graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1952. She attended U.S.C. Joan was raised by her aunt, Minnie Robinson. She was very proud of her work as a legal assistant for the AIDS Network. She loved her native beadwork, spending time with her family, and had a special place in her heart for her dog, King. Joan also enjoyed playing bingo, going to Pow Wows, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Joan is survived by her children, Steven Edward Thuss, Manitowoc; Kim Joanne (Kevin) Dimmick, Manitowoc; Gregory William Thuss, Manitowoc; Crystal Lee Hanson, Oneida; Susan Joanne (Mark) Andrews, Arizona; Lynea Lynn Moat, Green Bay; her grandchildren, Kalinda, Kara, Shauna, Sarah, Craig, Krista, Jason, Sharisse, Meagan; her great-grandchildren, Chase, Dayten, Aiden, Sebastian, Andrew, Isaiah, Noah, Akira, Zoey; many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lynn Hanson; her parents; her grandparents, and other family members.
