William "Bill" H. Stewart, 84, Green Bay, passed away at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 11, 1941, in Oconto to Alfred and Henrietta (Hansen) Stewart.
Bill attended St. Jospeh Catholic Grade School and was an Oconto High School graduate. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Duluth, MN for three years and the remaining year at Indian Mountain Long Range Radar Site in Alaska. Bill worked for 33 years for Schneider Transport and after retirement worked part time at J&W Enterprises and Rocky Ridge Shooters Supply.
He married Bonnie Bishop and they have two children a son, Billy and a daughter, Shawn. Bill was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Stewart's 40. He had many hobbies and interests and was especially proud of the fact he rode dirtbikes into his late seventies. Bill was well known for his skill of Wheelin' and Dealin' which would last for hours but would also help anyone out.
He is survived by his Bonnie; son, Billy Stewart; daughter, Shawn (Robert) Vanden Avond; grandchildren, Sidney (Louis) Lenten, Jacob Vanden Avond, Stacy (Billy) Vossberg; great-grandchildren, Hank and Vicki Vossberg; sister, June Carriveau; brother, Roger Stewart; sisters-in-law, Carol (nee, Peterson) Stewart, Pat (nee, Holt) Stewart, Carol (nee, Olson) Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and of course - Gunner.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Henrietta; brothers, Doug Stewart, Bud Stewart, Jon Stewart; sisters, Joan Stewart, Glenore (Jim) Wilde; brother-in-law, Jim Carriveau.

Bill loved his family and was so proud of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. No matter how old you were you were always told "let me know when you get home." We love you, we will miss you and let us know when you get home.
