William R. "Bill" Laughrin, 76, Abrams, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born June 24, 1949, in Appleton to John and Jean (Meissner) Laughrin.
Bill graduated from Kaukauna High School, Class of 1967. He entered the Navy and served his country from 1969-1973 and was stationed on USS Oriskany. Bill worked as a mechanic on planes. In 1975, he married Debbie Fagg at St. Mary of the Angels and together they had three sons. This past November they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Bill was a longtime truck driver for Fort Howard and enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time at the cottage, golfing, cheering for the Brewers, and playing cards. He loved to travel on his motorcycle with Bill and Debbie and spend time with his family and friends. He adored his grandchildren and he was proud to be a grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, David Laughrin, Bill Laughrin, Scott (Jessica) Laughrin; grandchildren, Wyatt and Emma; siblings, Jim Laughrin, Buzz (Pam) Laughrin, Kathy (Morris Jr.) Fagg, Jackie (Bob) Schneider, Carol (Dave) Mallman; best friends, Charlie (Pep) Hickman, Randy (Joan) Fameree, Gary Boise; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean; father-in-law, Morris Fagg Sr.
Friends and family will gather at St Mary of the Angels Parish, 645 S Irwin Ave, from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, June 24, Mass to follow at 12pm (NOON). Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
Bill's family extends a special thank you to his family, his children, and grandchildren that came to help and provide comfort and to caregiver, Jose and his dietician Melanie; as well as his VA team, Nicole, Becky, Brooklyn, Laura, and Ida for all of the wonderful care and compassion shown to Bill.
