William "Billy" Christopher Nielsen, 84, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born May 10, 1940, to Burel and Genevieve (Babler) Nielsen.

He graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1959. Billy married Kathleen "Kathy" Janet Kollman on February 1, 1964. Together they raised their family. He retired from Diana Manufacturing after 40 years. Billy enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Packers. He loved spending time in his backyard, tending to his roses and tomatoes. Billy had many friendships that he maintained by checking in with them at Cropsey's. His greatest joy in life was his grandkids and they meant everything to him.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Robert "Bobby" (Tracey) Nielsen; daughter, Beth (Jeff) Bielski; grandchildren, Brooke (David) Platkowski, Hailey Nielsen, Ashley (Ryan) Ziegler, Nicole (special friend, Gavin Henn) Bielski, Josh Bielski; great-grandchildren, Vaida and Booker Platkowski, Carson Harrill, Braylee and Scarlett Ziegler, Cade Bentley; brothers and sisters, Judith Fisher, Jeffrey Nielsen, Laurie "Toots" Wilkinson, all of Green Bay; Mary (Larry) De Villers, Cindy Jones, all of Florida; Gary (Stephanie) Nielsen, Amarillo, TX; brother-in-law, James Boutott; sister-in-law, Joyce Nielsen; many nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Larry, Robert, James, Randall, and Donny (Ethel) Nielsen, a sister, Cheryl Boutott; brothers-in-law, Norbert Fisher, Carl Wilkinson.
