Wayne A. Stievo, 74, village of Howard, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Green Bay, to Alvin and Estelle (Pagel) Stievo. Wayne graduated from Green Bay East High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years where he earned the rank of staff sergeant.

On March 15, 1962, Wayne was united in marriage to Irene Thompson in Green Bay. Upon leaving the service, Wayne was employed by Otis Elevator for 26 years until his retirement in 1991. Wayne was a lifetime member of the Nicolet Rifle Club. He enjoyed fishing and target shooting. Wayne especially enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends, especially around the holidays.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Irene; three children and their spouses, Allen and Debbie Stievo, Oshkosh; Mike and Laurie Stievo, Karen and Blaine Christensen, all of Howard; six grandchildren, Matt, Michelle, Craig, Krista, Brice, Jordan; nieces and nephews, Linda, Lane, Lori, Larry; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Hurley.

Friends may call at The Atrium Chapel at Allouez Catholic Cemetery, 2121 Riverside Drive, from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The Stievo family wishes to thank all of the nurses and staff of Unity Hospice especially Ricki, Joanne and Lori for all of the wonderful care given to Wayne and his family.
