Wallace "Wally" William Destiche, 81, Ashwaubenon, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was born February 20, 1943, in Green Bay to Norbert and Eleanor (Huerth) Destiche.

Wally attended grade school at Cathedral and went to East High School. He was the quarterback for all four years of high school. He participated in track, golfing, and bowled for Fox River Lanes. Wally worked for Tec Systems of De Pere as a machinist for 26 years until his retirement at the age of 62. He married Anita Anderson Van Iten on June 18, 1983. Wally was always kind, loving, and selfless. His family was his top priority, especially his children whom he was always there. Wally's dedication led to his being affectionately dubbed "Wonderful Wally" by Anita's family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anita; children, Michelle (Philip) Lasee, Christine Destiche, Kenneth (Dina) Destiche, Julie (Joseph "Joe") Ambrosius; stepchildren, Jack (Amy) Van Iten, Douglas (Dionne) Van Iten, Chad Van Iten; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two more on the way; brother, Ralph Destiche; sister-in-law, Dianne Destiche; Anita's siblings; close family friend, Sharron Gerarden; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Eleanor (Huerth) Destiche; brother, Jim Destiche; sister, Gail Destiche; infant twin brothers, Glen and Kenneth; sister-in-law, Bonnie Destiche; aunts and uncles.
