Virginia D. "Ginny" Statler, 79, Green Bay, surrounded by loved ones, peacefully entered into the joy of her Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was born August 7, 1945, in Antigo, WI to Percy and Esta (Miller) Arrowood.
Ginny grew up in Lost Cove, North Carolina before moving back to Wisconsin in her teens. Sometime after her return Ginny met LeRoy Statler who worked with her father. She recalled to her children that her first thought of LeRoy was "he's got a big nose". The two would fall in love and on Aug. 7, 1965, they were united in marriage. Together they were E.M.T.s for the Mountain Ambulance department. LeRoy preceded Ginny in death on September 3, 2009.
Ginny obtained a degree from NWTI (now NWTC) as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Ginny retired from St. Vincent Hospital as a Health Unit Coordinator in 2009. In her free time, Ginny enjoyed fishing, crocheting, writing poetry, caring for her plants, and spoiling her canine companion, Lacy.
Ginny was a prayer warrior, whose passion in life was that her loved ones would know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. She was deeply devout in her faith and would pray for others often.
She is survived by her children, Willard "Scott" and Tracy Statler, Dennis Statler, Denise and Steven Rightmier, all of Green Bay; one granddaughter, Karissa; siblings, Linda (John) Petts, Paul (Diane) Arrowood, Philip (Phyllis) Arrowood, and Stanley (Carmela) Arrowood ; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy; parents, Percy and Esta; brother, Ronald; in-laws, WIllard and Minnie Statler; siblings-in-law, Willard Jr., Marilyn and Eleanor.
