Venice L. Kucera, 66, Green Bay, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 after a lifelong courageous battle with MS and cancer. She was born October 25, 1958, in Evanston, IL to Robert and Jacqueline (Connolly) Kucera.

Venice graduated from Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Il and was a lifelong devout Catholic. She had always loved caring for children and enjoyed running a daycare. Venice always wanted children of her own and for over 12 years she prayed. Her prayers were answered, and she was blessed with five wonderful children. She was an unbelievably dedicated mother who supported and loved her children. Venice was an outstanding homemaker for her children in their younger years and doting Nanna. She raised them in the Catholic Faith and together the family attended St. Jude Parish where she was a member for over 30 years.

Venice loved spending time with her family. Christmas gatherings and Christmas dinners were cherished special moments. Venice enjoyed baking and made many cookies, fudges, and peanut butterballs that she would happily share. Her sweet tooth went beyond homemade treats and would never say no to M&M'S or some Mike and Ikes. Venice loved animals and especially loved being a dog owner. She was an avid Packer fan and loved visiting Las Vegas. Venice enjoyed watching TV dramas and talking on the phone. She was a Chatty Cathy and proud of her landline phone.

She is survived by her children, Sarah (Joey) Axtell, Carl (Tanya) Shelton, Melissa Shelton, Christina Ciurro, Johnny (Bella Bellin) Ciurro; grandchildren, Landon, Dylan, Peyton, Lily; mother, Jackie Kucera; siblings, Robert (Celeste), John (Carol), Larry (Lillian), Donna Coconato; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Venice was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kucera; grandson, Hayden Shelton; nephew, Curt Barnickel; close friend, Danny Jurek.
