Tom Kammerman, 65 of Florence (formerly of Anderson Lake) passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at his home.

Tom was born June 24 in Green Bay to the late Earl D. "Junior" and Rose Marie (Mayer) Kammerman.  He was a graduate of Southwest High School with the Class of 1976. He attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and worked at Krueger Metal, 3D Metals, American LaFrance Shawano. Tom also worked at LaForce in Green Bay until medical problems forced him into disability retirement. Tom also worked part time at Bob's Bait and Tackle in Green Bay.  He lived in the Anderson Lake area until his mother's passing then purchased his dream home on Patten Lake.

Tom was born to fish. He knew every creek and stream around. He also knew the "right spots" to fish on numerous lakes and the "hot" lures to use.  In his younger years, he would take an annual backpacking trip to the Boundary Waters with his friend Rick DeMars. He loved the outdoors and once pedal biked around Lake Superior. He loved animals of all types including squirrels, turkey, deer, and cats. While living at Anderson Lake his "kids" were found. Nellie, Peppers, Sam and Lacy are cats that had been abandoned. Being an avid Packer fan, and a season ticket holder for numerous years, they were all named after Packer players. During Tom's move to Florence from Anderson Lake, one of his "kids" got out and he searched for weeks until finally bringing it up to Florence. Tom adopted another "kid" this past Christmas.  A kitten was found in his portable ice shack that was in the back of his pickup truck.   The kitten was in pretty tough shape.  He took the kitten to the vet in Florence where it was well cared for until Tom could bring it home.  He checked with neighbors and places that he visited to see if anyone was missing a kitten. No one knew where it came from so Tom adopted it and named the kitten "Christmas".  Tom also got his 1 st Florence buck this past season and was so excited.

Tom was a kind and generous person, having a wonderful sense of humor, and loved visiting family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He cherished his lifelong neighborhood friends, Rick (Patti) DeMars, Bruce LeMere, Drew Hoegger, John Pigeon, Dale Braun, the Barribeau Family and many others.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and Aunts and Uncles.

He is survived by "kids" Sam, Lacy, Nellie, Peppers and Christmas.  Cousins, Jean (Jim) Bleick, Jerry Druckrey and Mike (Joan) Druckrey, Joe Montour, Jeff(Jackie) Montour,  Jon (Su) Montour, and Julie Draeger.   Uncles Merle Grosskopf,  Dennis Bartline, and Karlis (Kay) Kammerman.

Tom's family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of his fishing buddies, Bob, Bruce, Dale, Dan, John, Larry and others and to his many neighbors and friends, especially neighbors Bob and Debbie Gibson along with T.J. Peterson of the Florence Sheriff's Department.
