Timothy J. Nuthals, 81, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024. He was born April 2, 1943 in Green Bay to George and Ruth (Mahn) Nuthals. Tim was a 1962 graduate of Green Bay West High School. During his youth he enjoyed dirt track racing and riding horses. After graduation, he started driving truck until he was drafted into the US Army where he served state side at Fort Bliss, TX. Tim was honorably discharged in October 1967. Tim was raised with a strong work ethic, which he passed down to his family. He continued driving truck until he started his carman career with Chicago NorthWestern. Tim married Linda A. Becks and together they raised David and Tamera.
On May 26, 1989, he married Sandra Vanden Langenberg - he was her knight in shining armor. Together they built a life full of love mixed with a bunch of work hard, play hard. After 30 years, Tim retired from Canadian National Railroad. He never shied away from any physical work and always tried to make any hard job fun. Although Tim worked hard, he truly enjoyed having fun. There were many hunting and fishing trips, camping with his family and friends, gardening with Sandy, mowing lawns and stopping for a NASCAR race or Packer numbers. Of course, Tim was always ready to have a PBR with anyone that popped in to visit; and in his own words "The only thing that beats Fun…is more Fun".
Tim will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Sandy; his children, David (Pam) Nuthals and Tamera (Bryan) Long; five grandchildren, Wyatt and Kyle Nuthals, Ruby, Cora, and Sara Long; sister, Nancy Boser; brothers, Chuck (Dawn) Nuthals, Jeff (Pat) Nuthals; sisters-in-law, Jackie Nuthals and Carolyn Nuthals; step-brother, Jerry (Colleen) Zich; his stepdaughter, Tammy Orde; step-grandson, Skyler Behunin; and the Vanden Langenberg family, Roger (Georgie), Dan (Kaye), Charlene (Mike) Tursky, Nancy Bolzenthal; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth; stepmother, Florence Zich Nuthals; stepson, Scott Orde; brother, George Nuthals Jr.; twin brother, Tom Nuthals; sister, Jean Nuthals; stepsister, Judy Zich; brothers-in-law, Carl Boser, Bernie Bolzenthal and Terry (Paula) Vanden Langenberg.
A Celebration of Tim's Life will be at Rock Garden, 1951 Bond St., starting at 1 p.m. Monday, August 19. Family and friends are encouraged to stop in, share stories, great memories, and allow Tim to buy you the last round. Tim's ashes will be laid to rest by his immediate family with full military honors at Nicolet Memorial Garden. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
Tim's family is deeply grateful to Sandy for selflessly taking care of him through his last years, and up to his last remaining days. Without her, his wishes of remaining in their home to his end of life would not have been realized.
