Thomas F. Kaster, 74, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Unity Hospice. He was born October 8, 1950, in Green Bay to Marvin and Mary Laura (Den Ruyter) Kaster.
Thomas attended the civil engineering program at NWTC and started his career working on bridges, roads, and various construction projects. He retired from his job with the DOT after more than 30 years. Tom married Pat Long on September 17, 1983. Together they enjoyed traveling and gardening. He loved the outdoors and staying busy. Thomas would go fishing and hunt birds, rabbits, and other small game. He was a talented woodworker and incredibly creative. Tom always had a project; he could envision anything and make it come to life. When he wasn't in the middle of one of his many projects, he enjoyed being a member of a local woodworking group as well as groups at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, Bad Buds, and Hosta Group. The many masterpieces he created with his own hands will be forever cherished.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; brothers, Jerry (Mary Ann) Kaster, Wayne (Dawn) Kaster; nephews; a great-niece; sister-in-law, Mary Long; extended family members and friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Per Tom's wishes no formal services will be held. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice and Bellin Hospital, especially the nurses and doctors of Bellin Home Health and Bellin Rehab for all of their wonderful care and compassion, especially in getting Thomas to walk again.
