Thomas J. "Tom" Parins, 83, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1941 in Green Bay, to Joseph and Marion (VanBeek) Parins.

Tom served his country in the Marines. He attended UW- Madison and Harvard Law School. Through his schooling, Tom served his community for 58 years as an attorney.

He was proud to be a Green Bay native, who was very active in the community. He held strong social ties, was active in local Brown County politics, and was proud to represent the Green Bay Police Department Union. He was also instrumental in expanding the Green Bay Austin Straubel Airport.

Tom enjoyed helping others, while expanding his knowledge as well. For a long while, he was an attorney for the Menominee Tribe. He had so much interest in learning their culture, history and legal system. The same things could be said about Mexico, when it came to Tom. He visited as much and as often as possible, while whole heartedly embracing their cultures and history.

On October 28, 2013, Tom married the love of his life, Yadira Jimenez. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan and sail boating was his biggest hobby. As an avid sailor, he served on the board for the Wind Jammers Sailing Club.

Tom lived a private life for the most part. Aside from his career, his proudest accomplishments came from his wife, children and grandchildren. He was the best husband, it was as if God had sent him to Yadira. He was a great teacher to his children and held a deep love and feeling of joy, being a grandpa and a great grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Yadira; his children, Ted (Alicia) Parins, Jessica (Nick) Seipel, Mitzi Mejia, Eira Mejia; grandchildren, Thomas III, Ricky, Adara, Kia, Elliana, Arabella, Sawyer, Hadiya, Odessa; great-grandchildren, Eldin, Joomin, Rosalind, Beaumin; his siblings, Mike (Judy) Parins, Pamela Parins, Jean (Earl) McNamera, Ann (Scott) Anderson, Joey (Mark) Kelly; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
