Thomas "Tom" H. Brick, 87, of Green Bay, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was born March 21, 1939, in Evanston, Illinois, to Edmond "Ed" and Frederica (Hastings) Brick.

Tom grew up without a father, and his mother raised Tom and his three siblings with little or no money. The family lived in multiple locations around the west side of Green Bay. His childhood playground and paper route were in the neighborhood around North Broadway and Seymour Park on Green Bay's near northwest side.

Tom graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1957. During high school, he worked at the filling station on the "S" curve where Shawano Avenue turns into Walnut Street and also poured concrete. He later joined the National Guard.

Tom attended "Vokey" Tech in Green Bay for two years before continuing his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His studies were interrupted by a Cold War assignment at Fort Lewis, Washington, but he later returned to complete his education and graduate from UW-Madison.

In August 1964, Tom married Barbara Frances Zoll, the love of his life. They moved to Chicago to start their family. Tom took a position at the Woolworth department store in downtown Chicago and shortly thereafter moved on to a customer service position with the E.R. Moore Company in Skokie, Illinois.

That position eventually led to an opportunity for Tom to become the cap and gown representative for high schools and colleges throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Tom was his own boss for 35 years.

Tom and Barbara built a wonderful life together in Green Bay. They had two children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Tom enjoyed treating his family to many family vacations over the years, creating memories they will always cherish. His grandchildren especially loved hearing "Poppy's" stories of the trials and tribulations he experienced throughout his life.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Casey (Marc) Veras; son, Sean (Lisa) Brick; grandchildren, Tyler Veras, Nic (Brianna) Veras, Sydney (Mason) Appleton, Keegan (Shannon) Brick, and Grady Brick and his girlfriend, Paige; four great-grandchildren, Thomas James "TJ" Appleton, Teddy Appleton, Tate Veras, and Marlo Brick; siblings-in-law, Jack Griggs, Rob (Marsha) Zoll and Rick (Lynn) Zoll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Barbara; his parents, Frederica and Ed; siblings, Ed (Lois) Brick, Mary (Jim) Skogg and Susan Griggs; and in-laws, Richard "Dick" Zoll and Alice (McAlpine) Zoll.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Unity Hospice and Avry Rhodes for the care, compassion and kindness they showed Tom and his family during his final days.
