Thomas Lee Armstrong died peacefully on September 28, 2025 at his home in Mountain, WI. Tom was born April 29th, 1944 in Green Bay, WI to the late Clarence and Eva (Rosera) Armstrong.

Tom was married to his soulmate, Marguerite Mary "Muggs" LaViolette on June 22, 1968 at St. Mary's Church, Appleton WI. They had 52 wonderful years together before Muggs passed away in 2020.

Tom was very faith filled and an active member of the St. James and Stanislaus Church parish. He served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector and also helped with several renovation projects.

Tom proudly answered the call when asked to serve his Country in Vietnam in 1969. He was part of the 7th Transportation Battalion, achieved Marksman status and received the Army Commendation Medal. Upon his return from the war, Tom received a hero's welcome from his family, friends and neighbors at his 12th Ave. Green Bay neighborhood where he grew up. He was also an active member of the White Lake American Legion Post 524.

Tom was blessed with four sons. He and Muggs raised them in Appleton, WI during the week and up north in the Town of Doty on weekends. As an avid outdoorsman, he taught his sons how to fish the lakes and streams and to hunt the woods of the Nicolet National Forest. He took them to places like "The Big Ridge" and "The Stump" in pursuit of whitetail bucks. Holding a special place in Tom's heart was the time he spent on Boulder Lake over the last 76 years. First, spending time in the summer with his parents and siblings at Boulder Lake Lodge and later on fishing the lake with his sons for panfish and northern.

Tom worked in the Fox Valley construction industry, spending several years working with the Boldt Co. and then later with A.K. Jensen Corporation as the president and eventually the owner.

One of Tom's greatest accomplishments was planning and building the cabin of his dreams at the end of Markusen Lane. In 1992, cabin construction began, and the work was completed with help from family and friends over the next few years. The cabin and its "Heritage" have a special place in the hearts of all those who enjoy it; especially the hunters when it turns into Deer Camp every November.

McCauslin Brook and Chaska golf courses both offered Tom a chance to relax and play golf with friends and family. Tom also looked forward to golfing in the annual Greater Mountain Open every August over the last 40 years.

Tom is survived by his four loving sons; Spencer (Jessica) Armstrong, Scott (Tanya) Armstrong, Stuart (Renee Diana) Armstrong and Michael Armstrong (special friend, Katie Marcks); nine grandchildren; Hunter, Elizabeth, Mitchell, Anna, Jack, Miklyn, Camren, Quinn, Killian; sibling; James (Chis) Armstrong; sisters-in-law, Karen (Bill) Armstrong, Helen (Bob) Pfefferle, Sara (Pat) Sirmon, Mary Pat (Wayne) Bass, Ruth (Greg) Hollahan and Renee (A. Omar) Turbi, Barbara (David) LaViolette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, parents, in-laws, Dave and Marie LaViolette, siblings; Beverly, Robert, John and Bill; sister-in-law Jo Ann LaViolette; brothers-in-law Jack Brooks and David LaViolette.
