Theodore "Ted" Platkowski passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born on July 8. 1930, to Jack and Margaret (Forsythe) Platkowski. During high school Ted was enrolled in the Navy ROTC program from 1945-1948. In 1948 he graduated 9th in his class out of 148 from Central Catholic High School in Green Bay and earned The Judge Monahan Medal Award.

On December 31, 1955 he married Carole Jean Le Sage at St. Franciss Xavier Church in Green Bay. Also, in 1955 he joined the United States Navy Reserve for a 4-year term and was honorably discharged in 1959.

Ted had a 37-year career at the Burroughs Corporation, now known as the Unisys Corporation. Throughout his career he held several positions with the company. He started out in Green Bay, Wisconsin for 12 years, was then transferred to Royal Oak, Michigan for 4 years, followed by Irvine, California for 10 years, Honolulu, Hawaii for 7 years, and then to Bloomfield, Michigan for 4 years until he retired in 1989.

After moving so many times Ted and Carole decided to make one final move to Laguna Niguel, California to enjoy their retirement. They spent their retirement traveling all over the world including places like Thailand, Japan, and South America.

Ted's favorite interest was aviation; in fact, he loved it so much that he went to flight school and got his pilot's license. Ted and Carole loved to rent a plane and explore in places like the Hawaiian Islands and California's amazing coastline. Ted also liked to attend the EAA convention in Oshkosh whenever he had the chance.

Carole passed away on August 7, 2020, after a long illness. After Carole's passing Ted moved into a retirement community, The Covington in Aliso Vieja, California. In November of 2023, Ted decided to move back to Green Bay, Wisconsin to spend his final years closer to family at another retirement community, Emerald Bay.

In keeping with Ted's wishes no formal services will be held. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com

His family would like to thank the staff at Emerald Bay and St. Croix Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.
