On July 1, 2024, Teresa "Teri" Holland's journey ended, as she went on to be with her Heavenly Father. Teri was born in Houston, Texas in 1945 to Thomas & Petra Martinez and she was the youngest of seven children. Her family moved to California when was a child, and where she spent most of her life. Teri loved to travel and would be ready to go on an adventure at a moment's notice, but California was always her home. Enjoying a day at the beach was one of her favorite pastimes, rain, or shine!

Teri met and married Richard in September 1965 and they were blessed with 7 children, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

Teri was always busy with her kids, family, or church, coaching soccer, playing on a woman's soccer team, outdoor excursions, crafting, sewing, singing in the choir, helping with the church drama club, and much more. She just always found a way to dance through it all.

Teri had a deep desire to be closer to God, she attended bible classes, bible studies, she devoted herself to praying for others or sharing her knowledge of the bible at any opportunity. Teri was friendly, kind, always willing to help where she could, and very giving.

Throughout her life she faced many challenges, but she would always find the courage and perseverance to overcome them through unwavering faith in God, prayer, and her children. Teri's love for the Lord knew no bounds.

Teri is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Richard Jr. "Jimmy", Christina, Kelley, Teresa Jr., John, and Sarah; all her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; her sister, Rosie; and her little loyal companion, Princess Tiger Lily.

Teri is proceeded in death by her loving son, Renee.

We would like to give special thanks to the wonderful team at Bellin Hospital, the medical staff that attended her, the room sitter, to Unity for the care, support, guidance, and compassion they showed to her and her family. Most especially we would like to thank everyone for their prayers and listening ears she received from everyone.

Throughout her life Teri was always a friend to all and a true prayer warrior. Friends and family will gather at the Whittier Area Community Church worship center, 8100 Colima Rd. Whittier, CA 90605 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14 to honor Teri's memory and the many treasured moments of her life. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
