Suzanne K. (Gehde) Wiggins, a Green Bay resident, passed away peacefully the morning of October 24, 2023. She was born on October 15, 1949 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Schlicher) Gehde. Suzanne graduated high school from St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac (Class of 1967) and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to study business administration.
Suzanne married the love of her life, Larry F. Wiggins at St. Patrick's Church in Fond du Lac on July 12, 1969. They were blessed with two daughters: Andrea (Foley) in 1970 and Jennifer (Stukel) in 1974, both born in Fond du Lac. Suzanne worked in the engineering department at Giddings and Lewis for over 14 years. In 1982 Suzanne and Larry moved to Colorado and owned and operated two thriving businesses (Taco John's Restaurant and Colorado Academy of Artistic Gymnastics). Suzanne and Larry moved back to Wisconsin and made their home in Green Bay where she worked at Fort Howard Corporation and Kruger International. Being the entrepreneur as Suzanne was, she and Larry started their own successful cleaning business and did that until retirement. Suzanne was a very talented quilter, gardener and writer.
Suzanne's greatest joy was being a grandmother to her four grandsons. She enjoyed all of their accomplishments and individual hobbies and interests. Suzanne felt that the greatest accomplishment in life was being educated and she devoted her later years in supporting her grandsons' academic pursuits. Her great faith helped her through life, especially praying the rosary every morning. Suzanne was an amazing role model for her children and grandsons. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Larry; daughters, Andrea (Mike) and grandchildren, Luke and Pierce of De Pere, Jennifer (Jason) and grandchildren, Roman and Theodore of Minnetonka, MN; sisters, Mary (Dr. Edward) Schelonka of Jacksonville, FL, Judith (John) Enstrom of Green Bay, Elizabeth (Mike) Panure of Green Bay; brother, Michael (Kari) Gehde of Green Bay; brother-in-law, Richard (Janet) Wiggins of Aurora, IL, sister-in-law, Pam Wiggins of Benton, IL, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen (Schlicher) Gehde, parents-in-law, William and Joanne (Faye) Wiggins, and a brother-in-law, George "GA" Wiggins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dawn and Bart Dudek for all their loving support to Suzanne's husband, Larry during this very difficult time.
