Susan Lee Tomchek, 70, of Howard, passed away on March 5th, 2026, from renal failure. She was born on November 14, 1955, in Green Bay to Robert and Vilas "Vi" (Kropp) Tomchek
Susan graduated from Bay Port High School and held various jobs throughout her career, most notably as a retail manager and business owner. She worked hard as a single mother, dedicating her life to supporting and uplifting her family.
Susan believed in living life to the fullest and bringing along those she loved for every adventure. She instilled in her family a deep appreciation for travel and music, often taking them to concerts for a wide variety of artists and venues. She never said no to live music.
A loving mother, traveler, and dog lover, Susan lived a life full of adventure and joy. Gathering for family meals was her love language—she found happiness in bringing people together around good food. Susan had a green thumb, who spent her summers tending to her abundant gardens. She embraced every new experience with enthusiasm and courage, creating cherished memories for all who knew her. Susan was truly a "yes" woman—always ready to try something new or take on a challenge.
She is survived by her children, Ryan (fiancée, Gina Jimenez) Schaetz, Megan (Matt) Jacques, and Danielle (Mike) Hamblin; her loving dog, Jersey; grandchildren, Garrison, Kierson, Emyrson, Zion, Zeke, and Jaxon; siblings, Dennis (Judy) Tomchek and Nancy Tomchek; and nieces and nephews, especially her nephew Jon Tomchek. She is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends, including her special friend Kathy Waterstradt.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vi Tomchek, as well as several aunts, uncles and dogs.
Special thank you to Madison, Bailey, Lori and Steve the chaplain of Unity Hospice.
