Steven "Steve" M. Phillips, 67, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2026, and went into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born January 30, 1959, in Green Bay to Norbert "Nubs" Phillips and Ellen (Dickie) Moseng.

Steve was in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. His greatest joy was spending time with the love of his life, Margaret "Marge" and his other loves: his daughters, Jamie and Rachel and grandsons, Levi and Lars. Steve was a talented cook and made many beautiful meals. No one left the table hungry since he always served "man sized" meals. His gift of cooking was passed down to his beautiful daughters. When he was younger, Steve enjoyed fixing cars and often used his skills to help others. He was always willing to help those in need. Steve was a strong man of few words; within him there was a calmness that was a beautiful gift to his family. He enjoyed watching football, combat sports, boxing and UFC fights with Margaret. His spunky, quick sense of humor that no one could beat. Steve loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family - but you better know how to hook the worm LOL. Steve's extra joy was watching football with his grandsons and taking them for car rides. He was a quiet man but his love for Jesus was deep within his soul. There were many prayers shared with his family. The most tender parts of Margaret and Steve's relationship towards the end of his life was praying for each other, their children and grandchildren and for others. These prayers will shine forever, even into Heaven and will provide comfort for his family and hope for others.

He is survived by his love of his life of 44 years, Margaret; children, Jamie Phillips (special friend, Jeremy Noack), Rachel Phillips; grandsons, Levi and Lars; siblings, Sheila (Barry) Belschner, Annie Follet (Jim Modl), Kathy Phillips (Gary Biersteker); siblings-in-law, Clare Beno, Mary Gagnon, Allan Gagnon (Debbie), Gerard Gagnon, Robert (Louise) Gagnon, Theresa (Steve) Derpinghaus, Kennedy Gagnon, Tony Gagnon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Nubs Phillips, Carol Diring, Ellen and Don Moseng, and Tom Baur; brother, Mark Phillips; parents-in-law, Alphonse Gagnon and Sylvia Gagnon; many cousins, aunts and uncles.

To honor Steve's love of the outdoors, friends and family are invited to the Christian Burial of his ashes at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 1198 Pinecrest Rd., at 3pm on Friday, July 24, 2026. All are invited for the Christian prayers and should wear comfortable clothes and bring a chair and umbrella.

Steve's family extends a special thank you to Dr. Flood, Allan Gagnon, Sherry and Dave Jubert, Theresa and Steve, Steve's sisters, Sheila and Barry, Annie and Jim, Kathy and Gary; nephew, Robby Knaus, Kim Vorpahl, Colleen Demro, Mike and Julie Thornton, Todd Ostrowski, Al Joppe, Little Dale Phillips, and Renelle Murphy for sticking by Steve's side.

An extra special thank you to Pastor Juan and Glynis Alicea for their spiritual support throughout the years for Steve's family; especially guiding Steve through Bible studies to strengthen his relationship with Jesus and rewater baptizing him in Jesus name - that day was special to Steve.
