Steven "Steve" Lawrence Widi, loving husband, father and grandpa passed away peacefully Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born December 20, 1949 in Green Bay to Ralph "Duke" and Rosemary Widi.

Steve graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1968 and then enlisted in the US Navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Kennedy. On May 18, 1978, Steve married Kathy Jaeger. He followed in his father's footsteps and started as a tile setter at The John Widi Company and Widi Brothers Tile Company and later joined HJ Martin and Son where he retired. Steve had a talent for laying tile and being a perfectionist while leading jobs. He was humble man who would always offer a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake cabin. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, Packer and Brewer fan, loved camping with his buddies, being a prankster with his co-workers, and of course, giving lectures to his son.

With his infectious personality, wonderful smile and great sense of humor Steve made you feel welcome at any event. He was always there for family and friends, loved his casino trips with mom and dad, and had a passion for cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Nick Widi; step grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Morgan Hervas; siblings, Daniel Widi, Nancy (Tom Adamany) Widi; sister-in-law, Donna Eller; brothers-in-law, Glen Jaeger, Gene (Jayne) Jaeger; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph "Duke" and Rosemary; in-laws, Irene Houck and Walter Jaeger; sister-in-law, Cyndy Widi; brother-in-law, Jay Eller.
