Steven B. Jaeger went home peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was born on July 14, 1949, in New London, Wisconsin, the youngest of three boys born to Alvin and Ruth Jaeger.

Steve graduated from New London High School in 1967 and joined the United States Air Force in October of that year. He was stationed in Pleiku, Vietnam, where he served from 1969 to 1970. He was honorably discharged in May 1971.

Steve married Ruthann Wruck on October 16, 1971. They shared more than 54 years of marriage and were blessed with their children, Kelly Jaeger and Jonathan (Bambi) Jaeger, and two grandchildren, Layla McDonough and Olin Jaeger.

Steve was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher as well as serving in capacities over the years. He also enjoyed playing on the church softball team and participating in the church golf group.

Steve worked for WPS for 31 years. He loved golfing, riding his bike, and spending time with friends and family. He had a special love for animals and enjoyed fostering animals for the Wisconsin Humane Society in Green Bay.

Steve is survived by his wife, Ruthann; daughter, Kelly; son, Jon; daughter-in-law, Bambi; granddaughter, Layla; grandson, Olin; and brother, Darryl (Diane) Jaeger, as well as many other family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Ruth; his brother, Kenneth; and his sister-in-law, Ruth.
