Stephena Ward, 94, Green Bay, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026. She was born December 25, 1931, in the Town of Hayes, Oconto County to Joseph C. to Anna Christine (Phillippi) Holl.

Stephena met James John Ward at the shoe factory and the two married on February 19, 1955. She loved her family and was happiest when she was around them. Stephena was loving mother and faithful wife. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stephena was a woman of strong faith and longtime devout member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Her deep faith and love for her community led her to run the Community Service Center. Through the church's family outreach center, she helped families in need and provided food, supplies, guidance, and compassion. Stephena was a nurturing soul and loved to watch things grow and bloom and especially enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her children, Evan (Terri) Ward, Sandra Ward St. Laurent, Leland (Betty) Ward, Carmen Ward, Stuart (Karen) Ward, Carla (Keith) Jirik, Ryan (Deborah) Ward; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Stephena was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Joseph and Ann; and all of her siblings.

Friends and family will gather at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1414 Shawano Ave., from 3pm to 5pm on Tuesday, October 6; Service to follow at 5pm. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
