Shirley Wagner, 79, Green Bay, went to Heaven peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was born December 14, 1935, in Negaunee, Michigan to Francis and Edna (Rytkonen) Dighera. Shirley graduated from Negaunee High School and Badger Business School in Green Bay. On October 15, 1955, she married Edward Wagner at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. Shirley had worked as a secretary for Larsen's Canning Company and at Sears. After her working years, she volunteered with the Salvation Army for over 25 years. Shirley was an avid reader and could finish three books each week. She was a member of Annunciation Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; four children, Barbara and Mike Bootz, Julie and Steve Bartels, Fran and Cathy Wagner, Wendy and David Hansen, all of Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Tracy (Shannon) Hischke, Jon (Jane) Bootz, Michael (Sarah) Bootz, Lisa Burrows-Godfrey and her husband, Wesley, Jon (Linda) Burrows, Patrick Wagner, Trisha Wagner, Karissa Hansen, Joseph Hansen; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis (Carmello "Blondie") Portale, Negaunee, MI; one brother, John Dighera, Negaunee, MI; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Therese) Wagner, Algoma; James (Beverly) Wagner, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews and friends.
