Shawn Mitchell Smurawa, 53, Green Bay, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born December 7, 1970, in Green Bay to Michael Smurawa and Suzie Smurawa.

Shawn graduated from Premontre High School, Class of 1990. Shawn enlisted in the U.S. Army and served four years as a combat medic and four years in the Army Reserves. He was stationed in Hawaii for four years and traveled to Thailand, Egypt, and Israel. After his time in the military, he began work as a truck driver. He drove for several companies, most recently he worked for Double K Express. Shawn was able to say he had seen every U.S. State. He was a hardworking man with a dry sense of humor. He believed a handshake and your word truly meant something and he always had a story to tell. Shawn enjoyed playing hockey and football and was also active in soccer and wrestling in his younger years. Shawn loved to travel and ride motorcycles.

He is survived by his daughter, Macenzi; mother, Suzie; longtime girlfriend, Kerry; brother, Shannon (Denisa); aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Michael; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Loretta; maternal grandfather, Hollis; maternal grandmother, Gloria; uncle, Clay.
