Shawn Michael Fischer, 53, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was born on April 29 ,1972 in Algoma, WI to Leander 'Butch' and Cynthia (Barlass) Fischer.
Shawn attended technical college in 1994 and earned an Associate's degree in diesel mechanics. He went on to work for WEL Companies in DePere, starting in 1996 and worked his way up to become the Trailer Service Manager. Shortly after, he married Jennifer Bouche, on May 10, 1997, in Maplewood, WI. Together they had two children, Robin and Kevin. Shawn was over the moon to be a dad and was a loving father.
All of his life, Shawn enjoyed tinkering and working with his hands. He was very handy, hardworking and crafty. He barely ever sat still, as he was always working on some sort of project or task. If something needed fixing, he would find a way to repair it. With almost every tool known to man, Shawn was able to fix most things and was happy to do so. He enjoyed spending time in the big garage helping his son work on cars.
When he was not busy tinkering and fixing, Shawn enjoyed just about anything outdoors from his obvious love for mechanics and small engine work to camping, fishing, hiking and as of late, tapping trees in his yard to make maple syrup.
He is survived by his wife, Jenni; his children, Robin Fischer, Kevin Fischer; a sister, Lisa Kube; a sister-in-law, Amanda (Dan) Sallinen; his mother-in-law, Wanda Bouche; and a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Shawn was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Reginald 'Reggie' Bouche.
Visitation will be held at Bay City Baptist Church, 1840 Bond St., on Saturday, April 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Entombment will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. To send online condolences, please go to, www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
Shawn's wife and children would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent Hospital 4th floor Intermediate ICU for their wonderful care of Shawn in his last days on earth.
We will be together again someday, handsome. Love always, Jenni
