Born October 14, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sharon was the only child of Roy and Violet Larkin. She was an Army brat who lived in Louisiana, Texas, Massachusetts, and Missouri. Sharon graduated from Waynesville High School, near Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, where her Father was stationed. She met the love of her life and future husband, Larry Zambrowicz, at the Army camp while he was serving his two year duty in the military. Sharon and Larry where married at. St. Boniface Church in De Pere, Wisconsin, on October 19, 1957.
Sharon worked at Liberty Loan until their first child Linda Lee was born in April, 1961. Three boys followed: James David, John Paul, and Joseph Lawrence. She was a stay-at home mom who enjoyed being involved in her children's lives. She was a Girl Scout and Cadette Scout leader, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed going to school and sporting events that her children, and later grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were involved in. She was devoted to and deeply loved the family God gave her. Sharon was an avid Packer fan, liked to knit and was the chairperson of the Prayer Shawl Ministry for the Quad Parishes in Green Bay.
Sharon's role model was her Grandmother Jessie Kirk, a wonderful Christian woman, who was responsible for her belief in Jesus Christ. As a convert to the Catholic Church, she credits her husband Larry for being a wonderful example for her to follow. As long time members of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she and Larry served the church as Eucharist Ministers. She and Larry were long time directors of the St. Joseph Love Life Baby Ministry and were active in the Right to Life movement. She also held various offices in the Altar Rosary Society. After Larry retired, Sharon worked as church secretary for St. Joseph Parish for 3 years.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Larry and children: Linda (Steve) Rudolph, and their children, Kristin (Russell) Laursen, great-grandson, Jack Laursen, Adam (Megan) Rudolph, great-grandsons Abram and Crosby, and Andrew (Stephanie) Rudolph, great-grandsons Fletcher and Oscar; Son, James (Rachel) Zambrowicz and their children Alec (Grace) Zambrowicz, great-grandson Leo, and Emily (fiancé Calum Holmes) Zambrowicz; son, John (Shelly) Zambrowicz and their children Heather (Justin) Schultz, great granddaughters Aaliyah Zambrowicz, Rosalie Schultz, and step-great- granddaughters Shannon and Taylor Schultz, Holli Fisher, great-granddaughters Morgan and Madison, Hillary (Travis) Justman, great-grandsons Remy and River, great granddaughter Violet (due in July); son, Joseph (Cheri) Zambrowicz, their sons Brent (Abbey) Nelson, great-granddaughters Josie, and Ellie, and Brady (Janny) Nelson, great-granddaughters Jazmine and Charlotte, and Joe's son Justin Peterson, great-granddaughter Phoenyx. Sharon is further survived by some of Larry's siblings and in-laws along with their families.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Violet Larkin, father, Roy Larkin, mother and father-in-law, Loy Agatha Zambrowicz, grandparents Charlie and Jessie Kirk, and Charlie and Ollie Larkin, as well as many in-laws, cousins and cherished friends.
The family is forever grateful to the compassionate and caring staff at Woodside Senior Communities for going above and beyond to make Sharon's stay there as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Thank you also to all the cherished friends she met at Woodside, especially Georgia.
