Scott A. Moore, 70, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 25, 2026. He was born on September 9, 1955, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to Douglas and Jean (Wyrobeck) Moore.

He graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School with the Class of 1975, where he participated in track and field and the drum and bugle corps. After high school, he sold his drum set and joined the U.S. Navy to travel and see the world. During those years, he made many lifelong friends. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1979. A brief excerpt from his discharge paperwork states: "MM2 Moore is a highly professional, dedicated petty officer. His vast, varied experience onboard has been invaluable for operation, maintenance, and training. MM2 Moore is most highly recommended for retention and advancement. He is a fine example of the Navy's biggest asset."

In 1980, he began a career at Green Bay Correctional Institution as a power plant operator, where he worked until his retirement in 2012. He met his wife, Kay (Bogart), in June 1982, and they were married on July 13, 1984, at St. Jude Parish in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and neighbor. He often snowplowed his neighbors' driveways, especially during blizzards. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially during the holidays, with Christmas being his favorite. He was an active member of St. Jude Parish, where he served as president of the Athletic Club, and, more recently, of St. Agnes Parish, where he helped with painting projects at Holy Family School and many fundraising efforts over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Mary; three children, Carrie (Jason) Post, Brooke (Gabe) Barnes, and Benjamin Moore; his grandchildren, Lilly, Samuel, Oliver, Eli, and Norah Post, Elizabeth Moore, and Gavin and Teagan Wendt. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Mitzi (Steve); siblings, Dennis (Mary) Moore, Karla (Paul) Boehnlein, and Brian (Mickey) Moore; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doug and Jean; and his brother, Steve.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4; A prayer service and Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5; Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors to conclude the service.
