On Thursday January 5th, 2023, Sandy, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at home after ten months of living with cancer.
Sandy was born on October 30th, 1989, in Taipei, Taiwan. She was raised by her mother Mei-Ching and her father Chih-Wen. Sandy came to the United States and studied at the University of California – Irvine. On January 14th, 2017, she married Danny Blaney, and they became proud parents to their daughter Trinity on September 4th, 2021.
Sandy was brave, adventurous, and kind. She was a great cook and foodie, and always had a fun new recipe for her in-laws (Tom and Fran Blaney) to try. Sandy loved to travel and was always up for shopping and a latte with her many sisters-in-law. Sandy loved to play the piano and spend time with her daughter. Sandy's kind spirit and loving heart will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Chih-Wen. She is survived by her husband Danny, daughter Trinity, mother Mei-Ching, brother Yu-Chuan, sister Pei-Shan, her aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins in Taiwan, and her in-laws, and nieces, and nephews in the United States.
Friends and family will gather at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. celebrated by Bill Hoffman, assisted by Sr. Marla Clercx A.N.G.
