Samuel "Sam" John Lemley, 94, Green Bay, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026. He was born November 30, 1931, in Bunkie, LA to Lawrence and Ruby (Roy) Lemley.
Sam proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He worked in manufacturing for a variety of companies and was a plant manager at the time of his retirement in 1993. Sam married Helen Thomas on May 14, 1951 in Wisconsin. Together they celebrated almost 75 years of marriage. Sam lived in Illinois prior to settling in Wisconsin and that meant he was a fan of both the Cubs and the Brewers. He loved all sports and was an avid Packer fan except for when they played the Bears. Sam enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting. He loved going to Supper Clubs and it was tradition to visit local supper clubs with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Helen; siblings, Odile Lemley, Yvonne Lemley, David (Barbara) Lemley; niece, Annette Dobbs; other extended family and many friends.
Samuel was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Lemley; his parents and his siblings.
