Ruth G. Rollin, 95, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023, at Tender Hearts Assisted Living in Green Bay. She was born to the late Henry and Nellie (Bushmaker) Smits on July 3, 1927.

Ruth graduated from St Joseph Academy (Green Bay) Class of 1945.  She was united in marriage with Joseph Norbert Rollin on September 15, 1951, at St. Willebrord Church in Green Bay.  They were married for 71 years.  Ruth was employed at Northern Paper Mill in the Payroll Dept until her marriage to Norbert.  Ruth then devoted her time to raising her family.  She was a long-time parishioner at St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Green Bay.

Ruth enjoyed relaxing with Norbert at their summer cottage.  They loved to entertain their family and friends while watching the beautiful sunsets.  Ruth and Norbert also enjoyed attending musicals and plays at the Weidner Center, Community Theater and Peninsula Players.  In retirement, they traveled in the United States and made multiple trips to Europe.

Ruth was an avid golfer and was a member of the Ladies League at Northbrook Country Club.  Ruth also enjoyed playing in bridge leagues with friends and with Norbert in couple leagues.  In her later years, she started bowling in a Ladies League.

She is survived by her children, Jane (Brian) Schilke, Barbara (Bradley) Johnson, Steve (Jane) Rollin, Mary Rollin, Kris Rollin; and her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law Marlene Smits.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Norbert; parents, Henry and Nellie; twin sister Helen Smits, brothers John Smits, Robert Smits and sister-in-law Betty Smits.
