Rosada R. "Rose" Loritz, 98, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 17, 2025. She was born October 9, 1926, on the family homestead in the Town of Washington to John and Alma (Bleick) Hoeffs. She was the youngest of six children. After growing up on the family dairy farm near Bonduel, Rose moved to Green Bay at the age of 18. In 1945 she met and fell in love with Gerald G. "Bud" Loritz. On November 16, 1946, they were united in marriage at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rose worked at Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio for 15 years, and following a short retirement, returned to work with the Green Bay Public School System in food service, retiring after nearly 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling to many states and abroad with her friends. Rose liked to spend time in nature where she tended to her flowers. She also cherished the holidays and enjoyed decorating the home for friends and family alike. More than anything, Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include three children and their spouses, Dan and Carol Loritz, Judy and Bruce Danielson; Tom and Vicky Loritz; seven grandchildren, Stacey (Scott) Schweizer, Kristen Danielson, Bryan (Yanan) Danielson, Erin (Nick)Arata, Joe Loritz, Sarah (James) Schlicht, Jamie (Nate) Funderburg; nine great-grandchildren, Drake Reese, Nadia Reese, Romona Davies, Freya Danielson, Alaric Danielson, Grace Schilicht, Grant Schilicht, Mason Funderburg, Landon Funderburg; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, on March 30, 1981; her parents; one granddaughter, Autumn Loritz; three brothers, Arnold (Ruth) Hoeffs, Vernon (Esther) Hoeffs, Reuben (Norma) Hoeffs; two sisters, Adella (Richard) Siedler, Dorothy (Norbert Sr.) Nischke; as well as her best friend, Orby Boucher.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the N.E.W. Zoo in Rose's name. Rose's family wishes to thank Mary Boucher for her camaraderie and friendship over the years. Additionally, thank you to the staffs of Dimensions Living and Moments Hospice for their sincere compassion and gentle care. Lastly, a special thank you is extended to son Tom for all the years of loving dedication and time spent caring for and with Rose.
