Ronald J. Williams, 85, Suamico, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born September 3, 1937, in Duck Creek, WI to Bernard "Ben" and Helen (Charles) Williams.

Ronald graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1956. He started college at Ann Arbor Michigan for forestry and then transferred to St. Norbert College where he received his degree in accounting in 1962. Ron started his career as an accountant for WPS where he became the plant accounting administrator. Ron married the love of his life, Joan Coopmans on July 29, 1967, and they became partners in life and work. His passion for the outdoors and plants led him to start Williams Nursery with his brother Dick. Ron continued to work evenings at his nursey until he could transition to working full time in 1978. Once he was able to devote all of his energy to his love of plants, he hybridized numerous plants and had a patent on one of them. After his son graduated from college, he joined Ron in expanding his business into retail and landscaping. They named their business Scenic View Landscape and Garden Center. Ron had a love for gardening and along with his wife Joan they canned, froze, and ate many vegetables. The whole family enjoyed the many vegetables they grew. He also had a love of fishing, and in true Ron fashion ended up digging his own lake, naming it Lake Joan. It brought him great joy fishing with his wife and grandkids. He especially enjoyed catching and having a fresh fish fry on Friday night.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, John (Darla) Williams, Ann (John) Hallee; grandchildren, Alex Hallee, Justin Hallee; siblings, Gloria Oudenhoven, Jerry (Judy) Williams, Richard Williams, Judy Nachtwey, Jim Williams, Jean Kerscher; siblings-in-law, Claire (Dave) Roffers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Helen; brother, Thomas Williams; brothers-in-law, Norb Oudenhoven, Jim Nachtwey, Tony Kerscher.
