Ronald "Ron" G. Olson, 76, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born March 1, 1949, in Beloit to Glen and Charlene (Beyer) Olson.

Ron was a member of the first graduating class from Turner High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. After basic training, he returned and married Janene Whitman at St. Jude's Catholic Church on March 1, 1969. He was then stationed in Abilene, TX and the last 6 months of his service he was in Guam during the Vietnam War. Ron quickly climbed to 4 stripes during his service. After the Air Force, Ron began working at Fairbanks Morris. Later he was a salesman for Snap On Tools before he retired. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his grandsons play baseball. His family was his pride and joy and his grandsons were his greatest treasure. Ron was very close to his brother Rick and they shared many great memories together. Ron enjoyed visiting and especially loved spending time with his family. Ron was a "foodie" and would talk about his favorite places to eat around Wisconsin. He also loved to cook with his many kitchen gadgets and took pride in his "coffee bar".

He is survived by his wife, Janene; son, Jeff (Julie) Olson; grandchildren, Evan and Connor Olson; brother, Rick (Janis) Olson; nieces and nephews, Erika (John) Schroeder and Christian (Jill) Olson; great-nephews, Cameron, Brady, Everett, William; and many friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 19; Funeral Service to follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery - Beloit. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
