Ronald "Ron" Lee Cumber, 90, Suamico, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born May 19, 1933, in Green Bay to George and Sylvia (Kimps) Cumber.

Ron was a baker for all his life, helping with his dad, as a child, and was a baker in the air force. Ron cooked and baked for lieutenants and generals. He was proud to be called to cook for his superiors. Ron owned and operated Ron's Bakery staring in the early 1960's until his retirement in the mid 1990's.

He is survived by his children, Gwen (Roy) Rentmeester, George (Jody) Cumber, Ronda (Joe) Karbon, Dawn (Dan) Pecho, Lisa Cumber, Mary (Jeff) Van Essen; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Colleen (Jim) Robak, Chris Cumber; sister-in-law, Loreen Cumber; his dogs, Gracie II and Sunny; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sylvia; brother, Larry; sisters, Sue Cumber, Kathleen (George) Delveaux; and his many St. Bernard dogs that were also his family.

Friends and family will gather at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
