Roman Karls, 90, Green Bay, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025. He was born July 9, 1934, in Jericho, WI to Edward and Veronica (Muellenbach) Karls.

Roman grew up on the family farm and graduated from New Holstein High School. He worked in propane delivery and services with Farrell Gas until he retired at age 65. Roman married LaVerne Koenig on September 14, 1957. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines and would help out any of his neighbors. Roman loved working in his yard and garden. His lawn was always immaculate, and his gardens were beautiful.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne; children, Steven (Sally) Karls, Debra (Ken) Blecha, Wayne Karls, Joe (Carol) Karls; grandchildren, Andrew, Kelly, Nicholas, Brittany, Olivia, Christopher, Jagger, Bon, Kellen, Jamie, Reed; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Erv (Sandy) Karls, Ruth (Jerry) Koenig, Joan (Ron) Sabel, George (Carol Randl) Karls; sister-in-law, Audrey (Jim) Mueller; brother-in-law, Donald Bonde; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Roman was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Veronica; siblings, Bernard (Delores), Joseph, Robert; daughter-in-law, Barbie Karls; brothers-in-law, Victor (Alice) Koenig, Roman (Theresa) Koenig, Sylvestor (Alice) Koenig, Robert (Evelyn) Koenig, Tom (Marie) Koenig; sisters-in-law, Ruth (Francis) Scharenbroch, Laura (Ashley) Wagner, Virginia (Jerry) Neumeyer, Anna Mae (Donald) Stoelb, Margaret Bonde, Betty (Roman) Bonde, Arlene (Fritz) Schad, Margaret Koenig.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24; Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Quinn Mann officiating.
