Roman J. Buboltz, 70, of Pensaukee, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born on September 6, 1954, in Milwaukee, to Berthold and Rita (Reininger) Buboltz.
Roman graduated from Stephenson High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Michigan Tech. He was a longtime, dedicated employee of Shopko Optical, where he worked as an eyeglass technician. After retiring in 2019, Roman set four goals: to hunt more, fish more, relax more, and-most importantly-to spend as much time as possible with his grandchildren.
Roman deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and made each of them feel incredibly special and important. To be a friend of Roman was to be part of the family for life. He also devoted himself to Citizenship Advocacy, continuing to mentor his "little brother" Todd well into adulthood. Roman cherished relationships with both family and friends, always taking the time to connect and share meaningful one-on-one moments. He even maintained a close, special bond with longtime family friend, Matt.
An active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Roman faithfully served as a deacon, led Bible study, and offered his help wherever it was needed.
Roman is survived by his daughter, Tiina (Keith) Munroe; son, Jeremy (Tesha) Buboltz; the mother of his children, Irene Buboltz; grandchildren, Bridgette, Mel, Brayden, Gracie, and Max; brothers, Albert (Wendy) Buboltz and James Buboltz; sister-in-law, Sue Buboltz; nephew, Jason Buboltz; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Berthold and Rita; and his brothers, Jerome, Walter, and Joe Buboltz.
Friends and family will gather at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1414 Shawano Ave., from 5pm to 6pm on Thursday, August 28. A service will follow at 6pm. To send online condolences, please visit http://www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com
