Roger Robert Kimps, 79, Howard, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 after a 2 1/2-year courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 29, 1946, in Howard to Bernard and Luella (Williams) Kimps.

Roger was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Premontre High School, Class of 1964. Roger married Starlene "Star" Parker on June 24, 1967, at St. John the Baptist Church. He attended UW - Oshkosh where he earned a degree in business. Roger lived to work! He had a natural business sense with an incredible work ethic and an insatiable hunger to perform. He started his career at Paper Converting under the tutelage and mentorship of Rudy Small. Thereafter he began a number of successful family businesses.

When he wasn't working (LOL), he enjoyed boating, fishing, snowmobiling, taking trips in their motor home, and traveling. Roger's travels took him across the United States and around the world. He made so many friends wherever he went. Roger loved spending time with his family and was so proud to be a grandpa or as he was referred to "Pop-Pop" or "Pa-po". Weekends spent with his grandchildren were especially special and he cherished the times he was able to take them on various travel adventures. After their retirement, Roger and Star spent time relaxing in Naples and making even more friends. Roger also spent time on various boards and fulfilled many philanthropic endeavors.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Star; children, Becky (Curt) Kaye, Rachael Aitkin, Ryan (Melissa) Kimps; grandchildren, Maddie (Alex), Anna, Lilly, Emerson, Cooper, Mackenzie, Owen, Ali, Jett-Jett; siblings, Donna (James) Simoens, Carol (Rick) Van Egeren, and sister-in-law, Sally Kimps; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his sons, Joseph and Gregory Roger; parents, Bernard and Luella Kimps; brother, Gary Kimps; sister, Mary Ellen (Leo) Van De Yacht; in-laws, William and Jean (Austin) Parker; several aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Friends and family will gather at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (The entrance is directly across from BP gas station on Glendale Ave.) from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, April 10; Mass to follow at 4pm. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
