Obituary

Listen to Obituary

A deeply loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and expert in Dad Jokery, Roger Dale Jerry, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Roger was born with a fascination in electronics and music that informed his interests and work throughout his life. He mastered many instruments including keyboard, trumpet, bass guitar, and many more. His musical style ranged from country and western to yacht rock and everything in between. He played all over the USA in such bands as The People, Bitter Creek, and locally with The Normal Adults particularly at Heroes Club. His troubleshooting skills were much respected as an electronics repair technician first at his own shop, RJ Video Lab, and then was recruited and employed for many years with Camera Corner. If it didn't work, it found its way to Roger's bench. If it was in an outdated format or trapped in a VCR, Roger could bring it back to life.

Roger was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, graduated from West High School, attended UWGB and then when he moved to Southern California, he earned several certifications in video service and repair.

Roger is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Graham Mocco and Tammy (Rohr) Mocco; his grandchildren, Sarah Besaw (Josh) and Jared Mocco (Bailey); four great-grandchildren, Bella, Gavin, Addie, and Snowden; his brother, J. Michael Jerry (Karen); niece, Jennifer Jerry (John Pierson); nephew, John Jerry; and three great-nephews, Theron, Mikey and Gus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jerry and Janet (Campbell) Jerry; many musician friends, and his dear pets, Yoda, Woody, and Lily.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8; Service to follow at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
