Robert 'Bob' Whiting, 71, Green Bay, said his last goodbye on July 28, 2023. Bob fought hard to make it to his and Bonnie's 50th wedding anniversary (June 30, 1973) which was celebrated on July 8th, 2023. He was born November 26, 1951, in Green Bay, WI to Delbert and Mary (Kerin) Whiting.

After high school, Bob proudly entered in the United States Army. After two months, he was medically discharged and then entered civil service at the United States Post Office. After retiring from USPS, he began driving the school bus for Lamers. He loved his time playing Santa Claus which he did for over 20 years. He was actively involved in baseball tournaments.

Bob married the love of his life, Bonnie VandenPlas in 1973. Together they loved traveling and completing road trips. They enjoyed weekly trips to Simonets and Cropseys. His days spent at Grancare were filled with puzzle making, which filled the walls of his room. He also looked forward to tending to the Grancare garden with nurse Katie. Bob formed many friendships with the Grancare staff, of which he spoke very highly.
