Robert J. Gagan, Suamico, died on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at home with family at his side. Bob was diagnosed with brain cancer six months ago. He showed tremendous strength and courage in his fight against cancer while always maintaining a positive attitude, sense of humor, and love of life. No matter the challenge, Bob met it with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.

He was born on June 6, 1946 to Francis and Marcella (Westerman) Gagan. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1968 aboard the U.S.S. Semmes. He married Carol Ann Reinhard on May 1, 1971 and they were blessed with two sons, Neal and Matthew. Bob retired from ESSCO in 2011, after almost 40 years.

He was a very talented woodworker and wood carver. Bob enjoyed working in his shop and sharing what he made with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Neal (Rebecca) Gagan and Matthew Gagan; grandchildren, Jessica and Holly Gagan; brother, Tim (Sue) Gagan; four sisters, Judy (Don) Myers, Mary Josephs, Eileen Gagan and husband Jim Curl, and Jeanne (John) Gunville; mother-in-law, Almira Reinhard; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Norbert (Carol) Reinhard, Joanne (Dennis) Hansen, and Richard (Debra) Reinhard; nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Marcella Gagan and father-in-law, Norbert Reinhard Sr.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bob's name.
