Richard L. Schneider's life was a daily reflection of God's mercy and grace. On July 14, 2025, his faithful journey on earth came to a close as God called his soul to his heavenly home.

Dick was born on January 5, 1941, to Harold and Leona (Haucke) Schneider of Algoma, WI, and became part of Jesus' family through baptism at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Algoma by Pastor Toepel on February 2, 1941. Dick attended St. Paul Lutheran School, first to eighth grade. On May 29, 1955, at his confirmation at St. Paul, he publicly confessed his faith and vowed to serve the Lord faithfully all the days of his life. He attended Algoma High School, graduating in 1959. Some of his favorite grade school and high school memories to share with his children and grandchildren were from his years in the 4H Club and the animals he proudly showed. He also loved to tell them how he was invited to play the tuba in the National 4H Band in Missouri, and how he proudly marched with the Algoma High School Band in the parade from the old stadium where the Packers played to the new one on Lombardi Avenue. Following his high school graduation, Dick attended Door County Teachers College, graduating in 1961, then he went on to earn his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He began his teaching career in Sister Bay, WI, serving as both principal and 7th–8th grade teacher.

In 1963, Dick married Nancy (Jorgenson) from Sturgeon Bay. The following year, they moved to Green Bay, where Dick began working in the Howard-Suamico School District as a principal and 6th grade teacher. In 1966, he started teaching 6th grade at Kennedy School in Green Bay, where he remained for 17 years. His final 15 years of his teaching were spent at Lombardi Middle School, where he taught 8th grade science and social studies. He retired in 1998 after 37 years in the teaching profession.

After his retirement, Dick found great joy in staying active in the church, first serving as a temporary principal at St. Mark Lutheran School in Green Bay, WI. He then became the treasurer and administrator at St. Mark Lutheran Church, a role he held for about 15 years. After transferring to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Green Bay, he continued to serve faithfully as their treasurer until 2024. His love for the Lord was evident in all he did, and his strong work ethic served as a lasting example to his children and grandchildren.

Dick often said he "loved playing cards" with family and friends. He and Nancy also enjoyed many years of square dancing and camping, but his greatest joy came from vacationing with his children and grandchildren. The memories made during those special times are cherished and will never be forgotten.

Dick leaves the following with the certainty of a blessed heavenly reunion: his wife, Nancy; his children Lori (Jon) Schulz, Amy (Mike) Karas, David (Teri) Schneider, and Anne (Phil) Adickes; thirteen grandchildren: Pastor Samuel (Maddie) Schulz, Isaac (Tha) Schulz, Caroline Schulz, Pierre (and friend CJ) Schulz, Wedmerline Schulz, Ben (Mandy) Karas, Kristin (Eric) Helmer, Ethan (Morgan) Schneider, Adam (Calleigh) Schneider, Abby (and friend Lane) Schneider, Leah (and friend Jacob) Adickes, Levi (Carlee) Adickes, and Grace (and friend Cole) Adickes; two great grandchildren: Dorothea Schulz and Gavin Schneider; sisters Jane Schneider, Ellen Reinhart, and Margaret (Chuck) Kostichka; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois and Darrell Jeremiassen; nephews and nieces, and numerous friends. Dick was reunited in heaven with his parents Harold and Leona; his in-laws Elden and Lauretta Jorgenson; two sisters-in-law Jeannine Toppe-Eggert and Kristin Konrad; three brothers-in-law Paul Toppe, Paul Eggert, and Don Reinhart, and two grandsons Jackson Schulz and Simeon Adickes along with the rest of the saints called home before him.

The family is sincerely grateful to the staff at Bellin Hospital and The Meng Residence for the care and compassion they gave Dick and the family.

Memorials may be given to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Green Bay, St. John's Lutheran Church in Whitewater where his grandson is the Pastor, or The Meng Residence in DePere.

"Well done, good and faithful servant, come and share your master's happiness." Matthew 25:23.
